What is the difference between staying with ARbarcelona or staying in a hotel?

ARbarcelona provides you with all the amenities to make you feel at home. You will benefit from a fully equipped apartment that will provide you with comfort, independence, privacy and your own space. We will personally take care of all your needs during your stay and we will solve any doubts that you may have.

Do the apartments have good transport links?

ARbarcelona has selected the apartments taking into account their location in order to ensure good transport links for our guests. You will find a location map for each property in the Apartments section.

Does ARbarcelona provide guests with a cleaning service?

Upon your arrival, you will find your accommodation clean and in an excellent condition. Once you leave the apartment, the cleaning service will take care of everything. Should you wish to, we can provide you with an added cleaning service during your stay at a rate of 15€/h. Please note that a minimum of 2 hours per appointment is required. Please contact us to inform us of your needs.

Are all utility bills included?

All utilities (electricity, gas, water…) are included in the tariffs. However our Company reserves the right to charge a supplement in case of misuse or irresponsible behaviour leading to notoriously high consumption levels.

What do I pay for an accompanying child?

The stay for children under 12 free. When booking you must complete the number of people. Do not include here that there are children under 12 years-this must be included in the comments of the booking form. Please note that children up to 17 years of age must be accompanied by at least one adult, being the person responsible during the stay in the apartment.

Can you provide me with a cradle for a baby?

Cradles can be made available free of charge in almost all of the apartments. Please inform us in advance if you need one. You can consult the services offered for children in the Services section.

Can I bring a pet?

No pets are allowed in the apartments. Under circumstances where a dog is required to help a person with a disability please contact us.

What if I break or damage something?

Please let us as soon as possible. We will try to fix it free of charge, but if any costs are incurred we will deduct them from the deposit.

Can I rent a mobile phone during my stay?

We provide pre-pay mobiles at a rental cost of €20 per week. You will have to top it up yourself.

Can I have access to high speed internet connection from my laptop?

All apartments offer high speed internet connection (wireless in some apartments).

Are there any kitchen utensils?

All kitchens are equipped with all the essential cooking utensils.

Are the bed linen and the towels included? What other equipment is also included?

All the equipment and the electric appliances listed in each apartment’s description are included as well as all bed linen and towels (however beach towels are not provided). Please let us know the exact number of guests staying at the flat so that we can provide the correct amount of linen. Should something be missing or not working please let us know so that we can immediately fix it. You only have to bring your personal belongings.

Who is responsible for personal belongings and valuable items?

During your stay in the apartments, you are responsible for your belongings and valuables. ARbarcelona will not be held accountable under any circumstances in case of robbery or missing items. Most of our apartments have a safe.

Is the tap water suitable for drinking?

In Barcelona tap water is suitable for drinking, but in many areas there is a very high level of sodium which could result in the water being a bit bitter. For this reason, most people choose to buy bottled water.

Is breakfast included?

No, but all of our apartments have a fully equipped kitchen. We also offer you the possibility of arranging hampers to be delivered prior to your arrival. Please consult the Services area for more information.

What is the welcome basket?

Upon arrival, you will find a welcome basket with basic products such as water, oil, tea, sugar, etc. We can also purchase any other products requested by you. Please consult the Services area for more information.

What uses can I give to the apartment?

The apartment can only be used as a temporary accommodation in the city. Any other activity other than this one such as illegal internet use, prostitution, etc, will be immediately reported to the police. The guest signing for the check-in will be responsible for their own behaviour and that of accompanying guests. Should guests not behave with the minimum standard of conduct and respect, ARbarcelona may request the customers to leave the apartment. In such case, there will be no refund or compensation.

How do I travel from Barcelona airport (El Prat) to the centre of Barcelona?

By bus. There is a regular bus service from each airport terminal. From Monday to Friday they operate every 15 minutes from 06:45 hours to 23:00 hours. On weekends and bank holidays they run every 30 minutes. The bus is called Aerobus and stops at Plaça Espanya, Gran Via, Plaça Universitat, Plaça de Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia. The trip to downtown Barcelona takes about 30 minutes and costs €3.75. It is the easiest and cheapest way to travel from the airport to the centre of town.
By train. At the airport, you will see many signs that indicate the way to the train station (located between terminals A and B). Trains depart at 13 and 45 minutes past the hour until 23.40 hours. They all make the same stops on the way to the city centre and costs €2.40. The journey takes about 25 minutes.
By taxi. Barcelona’s taxis can be easily identified by their yellow and black colours and can be found outside each terminal. You will probably have to queue but not for long. The approximate price to the centre is around €20 or €30 depending on traffic, luggage and the number of passengers. The journey takes about 25-30 minutes.

How can I get to the centre of Barcelona from Girona airport?

There is a direct bus from Girona airport to the Estació del Nord in Barcelona (bus station). From there you can take the metro (Arc de Triomf station, line 1) to the city centre. The journey lasts around 1 hour and 15 minutes and the ticket costs about €19.

How can I get to the centre of Barcelona from Reus airport?

There are direct buses from Reus airport, which is 100km away from Barcelona. They stop at Estació de Sants and Plaça Maria Cristina (Metro Line 3) in Barcelona. The journey takes one hour and 20 minutes and the ticket price is 18 €.

How can I get a taxi?

It is easy to find free taxis on the streets of Barcelona but if you prefer to book one in advance you can do so by calling one of the following taxi companies: (we recommend that you book in advance if you are travelling early in the morning or late at night)

Who can I contact should I have any problems during my stay? Is there a 24-hour telephone number?

ARbarcelona operates a 24-hour telephone number should any emergencies arise during your stay in the city. The number will be communicated to you upon arrival to the apartment.

What periods are considered high and low season?

High season starts on April 1st and ends October 31st. Low season is the rest of the year. Special rates will apply for those dates when markets and congresses are held in Barcelona as well as Easter, Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
